It’s been a while since we released a kit for classic Star Wars fans - we didn't want you guys to think we forgot about you.
This sculpt is still a work in progress (WIP), but it's pretty close to how the final version will look. I still have lots of details to add to the bandages and his cloak etc. I had some more elaborate base designs in the works, but I kept coming back to this simpler/cleaner design. I wanted him to look as if he was sculpted from a piece of marble or stone. This Raider is based on the one that attacks Luke in 'A New Hope.’ I just like the way he looks for some reason.
I'm really happy with how he's looking so far. I already can't wait to paint him. If there is demand for this, I would love to do a series in this scale.
Like so many of our previous Star Wars kits, the Tusken Raider bust will be a resin cast kit with some 3D parts. He'll most likely only be offered in half-scale. We do not plan on offering it in multiple scales at this time.
I am still working out the details and specs so the price has yet to be determined. We're hoping to have this available by the end of September - early October at the latest. I should have the sculpt done in the next week or so. We'll post pics of the completed sculpt ASAP.
PAINTED Version
For those interested in a painted version - I will most likely do a very limited number of painted busts. I just have to figure out how to fit it in to my growing backlog. We'll have more info on this once we release the kit.
